Inizio...

Dear Reader,

what happens when an Italian and a German Sweden-house loving people meet in Switzerland? An Italo-German-Swiss-Swedish house! And since both our Sweden-house loving persons have families and friends living abroad, this blog is going to offer snap-shots of the adventure of building such a house.

Of course, when we talk about an Italo-German-Swiss-Swedish house, a first issue is the language that should be used to talk about it! Here I'll opt for a mélange of English, with Italian and German components and eventually Swedish and Swiss-German accents :-) claro, no? Ups, that was Spanish...

Soso...our adventure doesn't start today, it has been going on for quite a while already. It was 2011 when my beloved soul mate and I started dreaming about a own tiny piece of land with a own tiny, cosy house on it. A warm, comfortable house where to feel at home, at best close to a wood or grove. That was the start, but it did take a bit of time for that dream to slowly transform into a concrete project...

Now we are so far. The tiny piece of land is there, close to a nice, quite large wood and a lovely brook. The house (a beautiful Rörvikshus house) has been planned and designed in details with much love and care (thank you Herr Fortenbach!) and the Baubewilligung (permesso di costruzione) is hopefully on its way.

Qui una foto della terra:

And here how the house should look like at the end!!!

Well, dear Reader, I hope you'll enjoy sharing this piece of journey with us, and of course I'll be happy to read your comments or questions. Let's the adventure begin!

Roads go ever ever on,
Over rock and under tree,
By caves where never sun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea;
Over snow by winter sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.
(Thank you Tolkien)
